About Katie

Katie O is a songwriter from LaGrange, Georgia. Their music is part memoir, part mirror. They write about human living, in its beauty and its ugly, and they hope in doing so to find their place among the throng of it. They have been writing music since 2014. Katie’s writing is intimate, lyric-focused, and authentic in its portrayal of the heady highs and gritty lows of life. Their music is infused with the southern soul of their hometown and influenced by their love of storytellers such as Anaïs Mitchell, Bob Dylan, and Adrianne Lenker. In 2024 Katie earned their Bachelor of Music Degree in Songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. They have been awarded the Berklee World Tour Scholarship, Cliff Bradley Endowed Scholarship, Berklee Grant, and Songwriting Achievement Scholarship.
