Housing with Heart: Shaping a Future of Dignified Living

Explore how we can reimagine housing and equity by uncovering the deeper beliefs and traditions that shape the current state of housing systems. In this engaging 2-hour interactive workshop, participants will use Causal Layered Analysis (CLA) to examine the underlying narratives and systemic factors driving housing inequities. Building on these insights, teams will ideate around the intersection of emerging trends and critical housing challenges, asking, "Trend plus need leads to what?" Finally, participants will apply the Futures Wheel to map the first, second, and third-order consequences of their ideas, uncovering potential ripple effects and opportunities for innovation. By the end of the session, participants will leave with practical experience using CLA and the Futures Wheel to address complex social impact issues, and a deeper understanding of how to design for equitable and dignified housing futures.
